The Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts has been built upon to the generosity of others. Ever since 1973, when Sir Robert & Lady Sainsbury donated their collection, and their son Lord Sainsbury employed Norman Foster to design and create our building, the Centre has continued to be indebted to the wide range of trusts, foundations, individuals and Friends who have supported it.
